Our Education Service
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust has an education team comprising Education Officers, based at each of our Study Centres, and an Education Officer, based at the Trust office, to provide outreach activities, advice and training. This team is augmented by other Trust staff experienced in community conservation work. With this breadth of knowledge and experience, we can provide a comprehensive service to schools throughout the county.
Costs
- School - based INSET is offered on using /improving the habitats in school grounds. Half day/Full day £15/£25 per person per day (minimum 8 participants) Twilight: £10 per person for 2 hours (minimum 5 people), plus travel costs.
- School-based pupil activity in school grounds. £25 per hour, plus travel costs.
- School visits to Study Centres: A donation of £3.00 per head for full day visits and £1.50 per head for half day visits. If your school has already booked for 2008 we will honour those bookings on the previous basis. If this level of donation will cause particular difficulties for your school or organisation please contact the appropriate Education Officer to discuss the situation.
- Consultancy: advice on creation and management of school grounds for the benefit of wildlife and teaching. £25 per hour, plus travel costs.
- Group membership of the Trust, providing local and national publications - £42.
