Make a donation
Please help us ensure there is a secure future for wildlife and wild places and make an online donation via our secure Justgiving page.
As a charity, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust relies on the support of individuals, businesses and local authorities to care for threatened landscapes and endangered species. Whilst some people like to help by becoming a member, through volunteering their time, or making a bequest in their will, others prefer to make a donation.
With your help the Trust can continue to:
- Protect wild places. Our 57 wildlife reserves are prime examples of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight’s most precious landscapes and wildlife habitats. Our management of these reserves is at the forefront of wildlife conservation within the two counties.
- Protect wildlife We gather information on endangered wildlife and work with experts and other organisations to protect those species most at risk.
- Work with communities We promote conservation projects which benefit wildlife and people by working closely with local authorities, parish councils, community organisations and local networks.
- Work with the farming community Our free advice and farm visits help farmers to implement management practices which benefit farmland wildlife throughout the two counties.
- Protect marine wildlife Your local Wildlife Trust lobbies for better management of marine resources and stronger protection for marine habitats and species.
- Influence decision makers Whatever important decisions are made, the Trust provides a voice for wildlife. When development threatens our environment we take the case for wildlife to planners and public inquiries.
- Work in our towns and cities In urban areas, the Trust engages people in helping our local wildlife through the Gardening for Wildlife scheme – highlighting how even the smallest garden has great potential to become an important resource for wildlife.
How to make your donation
Every donation, however large or small, makes a difference and supports your local wildlife. If you are a UK taxpayer we will be able to increase the value of your donation through the Gift Aid scheme. Currently this is worth an additional 28p for every £1 that you give. Your support will achieve much more - at no extra cost to you.
