Join the campaign to protect the UK's marine wildlife and habitats.

A Marine Act for the UK could give us a once-in-a-lifetime chance to plan and manage the marine environment for the long-term benefit of everyone. The Trust is calling for Marine legislation to:

• establish a new network of nationally important marine protected areas including highly protected marine reserves:
• improve laws to protect marine wildlife from damaging activities;
• introduce a marine spatial planning system, working within the limits of natural processes, to plan and co-ordinate all activities at sea;
• establish marine management organisations in the UK and Scotland to oversee marine planning.
