Oak trees provide homes for many different creatures. They grow up to 40 metres tall and can live for over 1000 years. Oak trees produce acorns which are a favourite food of squirrels and birds. |

Yew trees are evergreen. They are often found in oak woodland and are very long lived (up to 2000 years). The Yew tree's red berries are a good source of food for birds. |

Silver birch trees grow very quickly and can live for up to 80 years. They have white papery bark from which they get their name. |
