Woodland birds

Blackbird by Darin Smith The Blackbird's favourite foods are insects, worms and berries. It has a loud, flute-like song and can often be seen looking for food in the leaf litter on the woodland floor.
Great spotted woodpecker In spring, Great spotted Woodpeckers can be heard 'drumming' and calling loudly. They can sometimes be seen on garden bird feeders. They like to eat insects, nuts and seeds.
Treecreeper by Dave Foker Treecreepers can be seen on tree trunks in patches of woodland. These small birds hop up trees using their long, down-curved bill to search for spiders and insects
