Winnall interpretation

Interpretation panel at North wallsNew interpretation boards have been installed at the two public entrances; Durngate & North Walls. These are positioned at natural meeting points in relation to their respective entrances. The new boards provide a sense place to the visitor offering both orientation within the reserve and varying detail about the restoration project and wildlife likely to be encountered. Notices are regularly posted on the Durngate boards with information about upcoming events, talks or recently spotted wildlife.

Seasonal boards will shortly appear within the reserve respective of the seasons or the specific wildlife that may be encountered, such as in the mini-stream or pond. In 2012 a new interpretation panel will be installed along the Nuns Path where fabulous views across the floodplain in the northern part of the reserve are possible.

The sounds of the reserve are also being captured by local sound artist and college lecturer Sebastiane Hegarty. Find out more about an Audio-walk through the Moors.
