Project Plans

News
Engineering work has started at Shawford. The footpath will be closed here whilst the work is being undertaken, but a diversion route is in place. Read a press release about the works at Shawford here. Bank restoration work at Allbrook in Eastleigh was completed in April and the footpath here is now open to the public.

Volunteering opportunities
We need volunteers to help with wildlife surveys, lock preservation and habitat enhancement to name a few tasks. To find out what current volunteering opportunities there are, follow the link to the volunteering page and check out the practical conservation (out and about) opportunities.

Newsletter
The quarterly ‘Itchen Navigation News’ reports on the progress of the project, plus it includes articles written by staff, volunteers and the public on the wildlife and history of the Navigation.
