Wildlife Watch Groups

Local Wildlife Watch groups are run by registered volunteers. Most groups meet once a month at weekends. Some meetings are indoors but most are out of doors, so you can expect to get muddy at times! If you are interested in volunteering as a Watch leader, please see the Volunteering Opportunities.

If you are 15 or under, and interested in wildlife, this is the place to be. Under 8’s are usually welcome but will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Night walks, pond clearing, finding out what lives in a hedge, discovering insects in a meadow, worm charming, exploring rocks and fossils, hunting for caterpillars, creating and performing a play, campaigning for recyling, surveying for stag beetles,……fund raising…...

These are just a few of the exciting things that Watch members get up to. Three of our Wildlife Watch groups have even won national awards!
