Big Wild Read by Kathy GroganOur team of experienced environmental educators works with all ages, delivering or facilitating fun, informative and inspiring day visits to our education centres. If you wish us to come to you, please see our Outreach page.

Using the buildings and extensive natural environment of our educational wildlife reserves, we can provide memorable hands-on experiences, opportunities to explore, discover, observe and measure the local plants and animals in a safe setting.

We fully support the Manifesto for Out of Classroom Learning. Your visit can link with science, geography, art, maths, history and sustainability schemes of work in the curriculum. The centres can also be used for GCSE, A Level and university fieldwork. All visits can be tailor-made to your group’s requirements, and visits can be planned in a pre-visit with our Education Officers at each of the centres.

Booking:
The summer term is most popular but we welcome school and college visits throughout the year. You will need to contact the centre of your choice to make a booking. Once you have agreed a date and time, you should complete and return a booking form and arrange a pre-visit to plan the day’s programme and discuss risk assessments. We do not charge for this service but ask for a donation of a minimum £3 per head / day.
