Hampshire Species Groups
Species-focused conservation is an important aspect of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust's work. The species groups work to promote the conservation of all threatened species in Hampshire and on the Island, as well as establishing and monitoring their distribution, and providing advice on the management of their habitats. There are currently three active species groups:
Each group holds walks, talks and events throughout the year, along with producing newsletters which are distributed to their members. The groups also promote recording, and encourage their members to send in records of the species they see in and around Hampshire and the Island.
By recording the wildlife you see in your garden and local area and sending your records in, you can help the Trust build a picture of where species are found throughout Hampshire and the Island.
