Office Based
Receptionist – Tuesdays - We have a busy reception desk, here at Beechcroft, and we’re really fortunate to have the services of volunteers who welcome visitors, answer our main switchboard and sort incoming and outgoing post - one volunteer for each weekday. The role, on Tuesdays, will also involve working closely with the Membership Team to give support in admin and data input. The role would suit someone who is looking to use or update their office skills in a friendly, appreciative and supportive head office. More information here
Venue and Events Booker - The Trust relies very heavily on income from members to enable our conservation work to be carried out throughout the region. We always need to recruit more members and now have a Mobile Recruitment Team (MRT). We’d like to involve 1 or 2 volunteers who would investigate and book events and venues in Hampshire & Isle of Wight that are suitable for the MRT to attend. The role can be shared to cover a half or whole day (up to 16 hours per week) during office hours. More information here.
Wildline Assistant - Wild Line is an information service provided by the Trust to encourage people to become more involved in wildlife. It allows people to either phone, email or write asking for information about a particular species or habitat. For example, “how can I encourage more birds to visit my garden?” This is then researched by volunteers and information via leaflets is sent to the person requiring the details. More information here.
District Group Assistant - Working closely with the People and Wildlife Team, this position involves compiling materials for forthcoming events and liaising with district group volunteers via email or telephone. Work in compliance with the Trust’s Health and Safety policy at all times, taking appropriate action and reporting back on potential hazards, accidents and other issues, such as evacuation and emergency procedures.
