Events
Story Walk - The Day the Barges Came
Tue 14th Feb, 10am - 11am. Join professional storytellers for a story walk along the Itchen Navigation at Mansbridge. Join in with the story and go back to a time when barges ruled these waters. How will the local animals cope with these great beasts?
Story Walk - The King of the River
Tue 14th, Feb, 2pm - 3pm. Join professional storytellers for a story walk along the Itchen Navigation at Allbrook following some of the animals who live and thrive along this waterway.
Both the above events are suitable for children aged
4 – 10yrs accompanied by an adult. Suggested donation £2 per child. To book a place, call Polly Whyte on 01489 774400.
Itchen Navigation Guided Walks for Dogs
Wed 15th Feb, 3pm - 4.30pm starting at Shawford
Fri 17th Feb, 10.30am - 12noon started at Bishopstoke
History & Hot Chocolate Guided Walk - Fri 23rd March. Come on this guided walk to find out more about the history of the Itchen Navigation and the local area around Mansbridge.
Fundraising Gig - Fri 23rd March at the Railway Inn, St. Pauls's Hill, Winchester.
Winchester Rock Group "The Fabulous Rockmen" will be performing at Winchester's Railway Inn venue in aid of the Itchen Navigation project. Tickets are £10 and available from the pub now.
Volunteering opportunties
We are looking for Dog Walker Ambassadors to help spread the message about being responsible with your dog when out walking the Itchen Navigation. The role involves talking to other dog walkers and giving out leaflets and biodegradable dog waste bags. Full training will be given.
