Practical Conservation Volunteering

Conservation volunteersConservation volunteers make a vital contribution to our work providing us with invaluable help and support by carrying out a wide variety of practical tasks.

  • If you want to learn some traditional countryside skills, like coppicing, hedge laying and fencing or just want to get out in the fresh air and burn up some energy by clearing scrub or maintaining paths, our practical conservation programme offers something for you.
  • Conservation work is interesting and varied. Most of all it will help create a better environment for the wildlife of Hampshire.
  • The programme provides a great opportunity to develop new skills, make new friends and learn about the countryside.

Opportunities exist on our Reserves and also Out and About in the two counties.
