New Forest West District Group
The New Forest West District Group invites you to join them for indoor and outdoor events throughout the year to learn more about local wildlife in our area.
Indoor meetings
We hold monthly meetings indoors during winter, usually on the third Tuesday of the month at the Blashford Lakes Education Centre, Ellingham Drove near Ringwood. We arrange an interesting programme of talks with examples of recent topics including Moths and Bats at Blashford, Wild Greece and Sharing Nature with Children.
Outdoor visits
We also organise a varied programme of outdoor visits and walks to Trust reserves and other places of wildlife interest throughout the year. Recently we have organised a look at the restoration of New Forest Streams, a walk to look at the Chalk Downland Flowers and Insects at Martin Down and a visit to the water meadows of Hale.
Details about all our events and activities can be found in the Trust's Wildlife Events Diary. For further information please call Paul Toynton on 01725 518510.
