Millfield Stream Project Information Evening

19 January 2012

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust are holding an information evening on Monday 27th February at Bartons Mill Restaurant, Old Basing between 7pm and 9pm for a project at the Millfield Local Nature Reserve in Old Basing.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust have been successful in gaining Defra Water Framework Directive delivery funding for a project to improve and enhance the stream that runs through the Millfield Local Nature Reserve in Old Basing.

This stream is currently a straight channel with a concrete lined base and stone lined sides. The aim of the project is to renaturalise the stream through the balancing pond area, incorporating a number of ponds. The project will improve the site for wildlife as well as providing an attractive feature for users of the site.

If you would like to find out more about the project and comment on the planned works please come along to the information evening.
