Wildlife Trust Family Fun Day
16 August 2010
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust held a Family Fun Day and lunch at their Swanwick Lakes Wildlife Reserve on Thursday 12th August to thank members who have recently joined the Trust for their support.
Families from the area came along to find out a bit more about the Wildlife Trust and how to fully enjoy the benefits that membership offers. In the beautiful surroundings of the reserve, adults and children alike enjoyed a range of wildlife related activities from pond dipping to a guided adventure walk through the woodland.
Tara Puttock, Membership Officer at the Trust said, "Many of our 28,000 members take part in the Trust's guided walks, talks and conservation activities. This type of Family Day event is a good way of giving our new members a taste of what they can experience and get involved in. Most importantly it's great to see the children experiencing nature at first hand with such enthusiasm."
