Swanwick Lakes Centre wins award

11 December 2009

Swanwick education staff Jessica Daish-Miller and Jo Trotter with award

Swanwick Lakes Education Centre have been awarded a wildlife gardening award thanks to their hard work on the wildlife garden surrounding the education centre. The garden was assessed against the wildlife gardening criteria and was found to have 16 out of the 22 features.

If you can demonstrate that your garden is a haven for wildlife, you will be awarded with a certificate, a weatherproof plaque that you can display in your wildlife friendly garden, and your garden may also feature on our Wildlife Gardening webpage.  A wildlife friendly garden can come in all shapes and sizes, so you don't have to have a large garden to take part, it just needs to be good for wildlife!

If you would like some further information about the scheme and how to submit your entry, along with hints and tips of how to make your garden more wildlife friendly please visit our webpage.
