Our seas are suffering serious damage and need protection now, according to The Wildlife Trusts, in response to today’s ministerial statement on Marine Conservation Zones.

Proposed Planning Reforms – what is the Trust doing?
The Trust’s CEO, Debbie Tann, attended a meeting today with the Planning Minister, Greg Clark, and a coalition of other nature conservation organisations to discuss the Government’s controversial planning reform proposals. At the heart of the debate was the concern that the core principles of “sustainable development” have been distorted in the Draft National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and weighted towards economic growth.

All terrain wheelchair available at Testwood Lakes
Testwood Lakes nature reserve is more accessible than ever before, thanks to its new all terrain wheelchair, on loan from Hampshire County Council. With its robust structure and large inflated wheels, the wheelchair is specially designed to cover all kinds of terrain with ease. This includes gravel and woodchip paths, grass and bare or muddy ground, which is the type of terrain that can be found at the reserve.
