Protecting wildlife for the future Wildlife tourism in the South East
Wildlife Travel has been set up to encourage good practice in ecotourism and to raise funds for nature conservation through The Wildlife Trusts. Beginning with a single holiday in 1988, Wildlife Travel now offers over 20 holidays per year and donates all profits to The Wildlife Trusts. By working with local guides and conservation organisations, Wildlife Travel helps to support conservation initiatives worldwide, and by using locally-owned accommodation and services where possible, we support genuine ecotourism that, in turn, supports conservation.

Volunteer Opportunity - The Trust has offered to conduct a breeding bird survey on a farm at Upon Grey. The results willl be used to inform future management. The work will entail 4 to 5 early morning visits between now and end of June (survey work to be completed by 10:00 a.m. and the earlier the better!) which will last around 2- 3 hours a time. The surveyor will need to be able to confidently identify bird song and record results on a map using BTO codes which will be provided.
If you are interested, please contact Amanda or Alison on 01256 381186 to arrange a time to visit us at the office in order to receive full training and instruction. This is a voluntary position but expenses will be paid.

About us
We are the leading local wildlife conservation charity in Hampshire and the Island. We care for 57 wildlife reserves – more than 6,500 acres of valuable wildlife habitat – and by providing volunteering, education and training opportunities, we enable individuals and communities to provide sustained benefit to these essential wild places.
Not only do we manage our own land, we also advise other landowners how to manage their land with wildlife in mind. We carry out surveys and gather data to monitor how our local wildlife is doing. We work to protect wildlife on land and in the sea – so that we can all enjoy a future rich in wildlife.
Aggregate Industries is proud to support The Wildlife Trusts’ role in the BBC’s Breathing Places campaign.
